Balbusso Twins (Anna+Elena=Balbusso Twins) are an internationally recognized award winning Italian artists team, whose work has since 1998 been published by major international publishers and companies throughout the world in various media such as magazines, on cover jackets, books, in corporate communication, social communication, educational material, for promotion, advertising and design purposes. Their clients include magazines and newspapers as in the US, in France and in Italiy: The New Yorker magazine, The New York Times Sunday, The NYT Book Review, Reader's Digest Magazine, as well as Le Figaro Group Le Monde, L'Autre Revue Transculturelle and Abitare Magazine.
They have illustrated numerous book jackets and over 40 books for adults and children of classical authors such as G. Chaucer, W. Shakespeare, A. Pushkin, G. De Maupassant and of contemporary authors such as Margaret Atwood, illustrating the multi-award winning novel "The Handmaid's Tale "(Folio Society 2012 UK). Their artwork has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and galleries in Italy and abroad. The Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, has included Balbusso Twins among the illustrators of The Decade 2010-present on illustrationhistory.org.
The Balbussos’ work has gained over 70 international recognitions including three Gold Medals and the Stevan Dohanos Award of the Society of Illustrators New York, a Silver Award and the Joseph Morgan Henninger Award of the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, the Victoria and Albert Museum Illustration Awards Best Book UK and the Andersen Prize Best Illustrators 34th Italy.
