GilSing - Luna Luna
June 10th, 2024
Many of the 'middle-aged' generation - especially people in Hamburg - undoubtedly remember André Heller's LUNA LUNA on the Moorweide, in the summer of 1987, the amusement park of a special kind, planned as a 'traveling territory of modern art'. Big names such as Baselitz, Basquiat, Dali, Enzensberger, Lichtenstein, Topor and many more painted swing boats, Ferris wheels and carousels, designed pavilions, toilet facades, shooting galleries and posters or wrote texts. Now Luna Luna has surprisingly reawakened after a long snow-white slumber - a 'forgotten fantasy', in Los Angeles. An amazing story.
Monika GilSing's colorful WIND PICTURES accompanied visitors to the park along the paths from spectacle to spectacle.

Stang - Pictograms for Students residence
July 5th, 2023
In Amsterdam East, Mei Architecten is designing the first buildings in the development of the Sluisbuurt; a new urban district on Zeeburgereiland. Commissioned by the DUWO Foundation, Mei is creating two unique residential buildings with a total of over 750 student homes.
Stang designed a multitude of pictograms commissioned by Mei, processed as reliefs in wafer-thin light concrete panels and perforations in aluminum. Stang's graphic style connects with the future residents, and with a wink, Stang shows typical objects of "home," such as a fishbowl, pan of soup, clock on the wall, cat on the couch and clothes in the laundry basket. By mid-2025, you can live there …. or cycle past.

Anja Nolte - Video Conference Erinnerungsfutur - Future of Rememberence
October 17th, 2022
Anja Nolte felt very honored to be commissioned by the Leo Beck Foundation and Dialogperspektiven (www.dialogueperspectives.org/de/) to create an art video for the CPPD's conference Erinnerungsfutur. CPPD (Coalition for Pluralistic Public Discourse) is a network of discourse-shaping young people from diverse backgrounds who work and research on issues of pluralistic memory culture and diversity in a variety of ways.
Anja's film Memofur - part of the conference Erinnerungsfutur - cites in an abstracted form moments and places of memory culture: the Armenian genocide memorial Aghet, the stone flower memorial for the Roma killed in the concentration camp Jasenovac, "Jad" swaying in the grass field, the so-called Torah pointers.... With her work, she wants to trigger associations and open up space for the viewer's own interpretation and memory. www.dialogueperspectives.org/de/blog/video-arbeit-memofur/

Based on her front design for the salad bar in Munich-Schwabing, for which Anja Nolte also recreated the mascot of the Sbar - a Mexican-looking mini-lego figure - in 3D, Anja created Mexican visual worlds and provided the little Mexican with her own creation, the charming Takita. A virtual visit of the figures at the Berlin Wall invites to an Augmented Reality Experience. The animations are used for promotion and online presentation of the SBar. More SALAD BOWL on Vimeo.

July 1th, 2021
Zuiderlicht Agency for strategy and design - entrusted with the graphic and illustrative design for the ‚relaunch‘ of the Centre Céramique – turned to Stang Gubbels for cooperation with this challenge. Stang developed an enormous set of black and white illustrations that incorporate all kinds of aspects of the city's past, present and future. They can be seen on the 40 meter long vide fencing, play elements, presentation booths (Van Lieshout), lighting fixtures, rear walls, etc. The Stang 'fall protection' consists of 40 panels. Each panel contains elements of Maastricht's present, past and future and is a voyage of discovery in itself.
