    Maarten Rijnen - Albert Heijn

    Maarten Rijnen was commissioned with the illustration for the Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn. The commissioning agency, VBAT, developed a range of packaging for Asian food - an exotic world accessible to Westerners.

    The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam will host a Beethoven festival in 2020. Maarten Rijnen was asked to illustrate a ‚modern‘ friendly looking portrait of the composer.

    Gil Jouin - Film

    October 31th, 2019

    The film A Man Called Horse with Richard Harris (directed by Elliot Silverstein, 1970) is brought back to cinemas in France before being released on DVD and Blue Ray.

    Gil Jouin illustrated the title on the basis of a very poor quality still image from the film.

    Jean-Manuel Duvivier - Editorial Illustrations

    Jean-Manual Duvivier illustrated the cover plus five inside images about retirement for The New York Times – military pension plan, fraud and scams involving the elderly, pension scheme for staff linked to institutions financed by religion (US hospitals and universities), retirement homes and support for the elderly.

     

    He also worked for the Rotarian Magazin (Travel), the Chicago Magazin (Ikea) and the Smithsonian Journey Travel Quarterly  (Cuba).

    Gil Jouin illustrated the French poster for the  film 'Steve Bannon - Le grand Manipulateur’ (Original: ’The Brink‘, Sundance 2019)

    The independent film maker Alison Klayman  (Ai Weiwei : never sorry, 2012) attends the ultra-right former Trump consultant shedding light in her documentation on his efforts as the self-appointed leader of a global populist movement to mobilize and unify far-right parties in order to win seats in the May 2019 European Parliamentary elections. The film has been released in several European countries and will be shown in French cinemas in September.

    Anja Nolte - Focus

    Anna + Elena Balbusso illustrated an article by Bella Pollen for The Economist 1843 Magazine. The author poses the question "Has the MeToo movement changed what we wear to work".

    The Balbusso Twins also illustrated the cover of Ingmar Bergman's film 'The Magic Flute' (1975). As visual they chose the two lovers Tamino and Pamina on the opera stage.

    Anja Nolte - Microsoft

    Can artificial intelligence defeat world hunger? - was the question to which Microsoft Germany dedicated a series of Instagram postings in December.

    On behalf of Wunderman Munich, Anja Nolte created a collage that - divided into 24 squares - dealt with various aspects of Microsoft's Child Growth Monitor, which enables early detection of malnutrition.

    Guy Billout - Illustrations for Bibliste sans le savoir

    Jacques Billout, Guy's brother, puts together in this little book about sixty idioms common in French, originally from the Bible, without the users usually being aware of it. Guy Billout illustrated each quote with a humorous drawing - in his more looser drawing style.
