“Every time when my fingers itch, I know what’s going to happen: One of my characters is about to hatch. – Emerging, like their human counterparts, in full-blown 3D, they scramble to the roof of my Berlin studio in order to make their getaway. But before they can do that, I wield my mighty camera, securing photographic evidence of the scarperers.“
Daniela Kirchlechner lives in Berlin. She designs, illustrates and writes books. Her innovative 3d artworks are little handmade sculptures combined with drawing. As photographic stills or in motion they appear in advertising campaigns, magazines and newspapers – printed or online.
Daniela works for clients like Gruner & Jahr Corporate, wirz werbung zürich, Grey Healthcare, DIE WELT, Mobil (German railway magazine), Dorling Kindersley Group, Jacoby & Stuart publishers, Manhattan publishers, Gerstenberg publishers, Chrismon, Hamburger Wirtschaft Magazin, Sony and others.
She is a passioned teacher of interdiciplinary design and illustration among others at Department of Integrated Design Bauhauscampus Dessau at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and at the Akademie für Illustration und Design AID Berlin.
